Christopher Farrar Stokes, 37, of Crozet, Va., died on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at home, surrounded by his family. Born on October 13, 1980, in Charlottesville, he was the son of Wilmer L. Stokes and the late Gloria Annette Farrar.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Stokes of Crozet, Va.
He is survived by his two brothers, Steve and wife, Lisa and their two children, Trenton and EmmaGrace, of Crozet, and Michael Stokes of Greenwood, Va.; a sister, Kimberly Stokes-Rath and Patrick and their sons, Austin and Logan, of Stanardsville, Va; by a special uncle, Ronnie Farrar; niece, Sierra Reynolds; and an aunt, Joyce Snow.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, in the Chapel at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the funeral home. At Christopher's request, he will be cremated and a ceremony for scattering of his ashes will be at a future date.
