Born April 11, 1943, in Alexander County, she was the daughter of the late J.D. and Edith Mary Lou Stafford Bowman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ty Eugene Berry and Chris Bowman Berry; and a brother, Larry Bowman. Brenda loved babies and was very devoted to her family.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 28, in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory, with Pastor Gene Gouge officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 1 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.
