Violet Enid Curtis was born to Reginald Gerard Curtis (1895-1975) and Elizabeth Ellen Bryant (1896-1962). She was the fourth of seven children, her siblings were: Gwendolyn Marjorie (1921-2002), Gladys Muriel (1922-1972), Richard Bryant (1925-1993), Thomas Arthur (1929-1999), Grace Moyer (1931-2008), and Vivian Elizabeth 'Betty' (1934-1996). She married Everitt Parks on the 9th of April 1949. They made their home in Pequannock where they raised their three children: Pamela Enid, Patricia Ellen, and Thomas Everitt.
