Ms. Betty Jean Stanfield, age 80, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Betty was born in Etowah County, Gadsden, Alabama on April 1, 1938, the daughter of the late Almon Griffin and Ellen "Kittie" Pitts Griffin.

She enjoyed taking care of her home and especially loved spending time with her family. Betty loved people, she was kind and always treated others with the greatest respect. She liked having fun and being with her friends whether it was dancing or traveling. Betty had a beautiful spirit about her and her signature was a gorgeous smile she always wore. She was Baptist by faith.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Hammock, Temple, Dianne Miller, Marietta, Harold Stanfield, Lamar Stanfield, Villa Rica, Georgia, brother, Charles Griffin, Gadsden, Alabama; companion, Joe Chosewood, Villa Rica. Extended generations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Stanfield, brothers, Curmon and Clyde Griffin and sister, Oletta Nelson.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 30, 2018 at J. Collins Funeral Home, 1:00 p.m..



Interment will follow the service at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Joe Miller, Brandon Brehmer, Michael Griffin, Dustin Hammock, Chad Jones and Ken Dean serving as pallbearers.
