Susan E. Butts, 73, passed away peacefully, the morning of June 24, 2018. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Henrietta and Clifton Boyce. She was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Class of 1962. Susan retired in 2011 from the Chesapeake Commonwealth Attorney’s office, after 20 years of service and was a faithful member of Great Bridge Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and finding hidden treasures at garage sales. Her homemade potato salad will surely be missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard J Butts; son, Richard Butts and wife Barbara of Bel Air, MD; daughters, Anne Marie Robol and her husband Kenneth of Greenville, NC, Sharon Reid and Sandi Klapetzky of Chesapeake, VA. Susan was a loving grandmother to Eric Butts, Alex Robol, Zachary Robol and Jackson Robol. In addition, she leaves behind a sister, Jeanne Lee and brothers, Albert Boyce and Donald Boyce.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, 333 Cedar Rd. in Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Rd. in Chesapeake. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home.
