James “Jim” Lee Becker, Sr. passed away at age 78 in Chico, CA on June 20, 2018 after a short illness. He was born in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska on August 18, 1939. He was married to Mary L. Becker who passed away in 2004. Together they had three boys, James Jr., Randall, and Timothy.
James Sr. was a union carpenter and contactor for over 40 years.
He is survived by his sons, James L. Becker, Jr. and his wife Donna, Randall Becker and his wife Lisa, Timothy Becker and his wife Robin; grandchildren Chanel, Alex, Aaron, and Joshua; and great-grandchildren Violet, Autumn, and Evan. He is also survived by his partner of 13 years, Jolene Cassel.
A viewing for James, Sr. will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. His memorial service will be held the following day, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also at Newton-Bracewell.
