Wayne Leechy Hughes of Nashville, TN, passed away June 21, 2018, at the age of 66. Wayne was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He attended Maplewood High School and graduated class of 1967. Wayne later joined the Nashville Metro Police Department in 1974 and served for 33 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a dear friend who will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father William Leechy Hughes, and his former wife Mary Hughes.

He is survived by his loving wife Lou Ann Hughes, son Wayne Leechy Hughes Jr., daughters Michelle Dawn Hughes Krause and Stella Minor, brother Ken Hughes, and grandchildren: DJ Hughes, Steven Hughes, Brittany Hughes, Michael Minor, Baylee Minor, Melody Krause, Reed William Krause.

In honor of Wayne's life, the family invited friends and loved ones for a Visitation on July 3rd at 11:30 AM at The Chapel of Nashville (2415 Atrium Way, Nashville, TN 37214) and a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 PM.
