Barbara Paul Christensen passed away surrounded by family and friends on Friday June 15, 2018 five days short of her 90th birthday. Barbara was born on June 20, 1928 to Spencer Paul and LaPrele Snow Terry Paul in Salt Lake City, Utah. She began golfing shortly before the family moved to Las Vegas in 1960. It was too hot for tennis and no snow close so golf became her go to sport. She was married to Raymond Scott Christensen in 1948 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple two years later. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister JoeAnne VanLeeuwen Moore. She is survived by her children Shauna (John) Oblad, Kathryn (Randall) Kingham, Susan (Paul) Nelson and Richard (Dawn) Christensen; 16 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many callings in her ward including being a ward missionary. She loved to serve in the temple and went each week. She was a great mother and friend and will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on June 30, 2018 at the Las Vegas West Charleston Chapel. There will be a viewing at 10:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at the Palm West Jones Cemetery.
