Judith Ann Boyd, 66, of Brockton, died Nov. 1, 2017.

She was born in Wolf Point to George A. Boyd, Jr. and Helen R. (Sparks) Boyd of Brockton. She was raised on a ranch north of Brockton. She graduated from Brockton High School and went on to pursue her college education within the Montana State University system. She graduated with honors, having earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary education, with a minor in reading specialist.
She pursued many career options during her college years (i.e. pre-med, corrections, Native American studies) before finally choosing to obtain a degree as an educator. She often joked about just being a professional student because she had such a giant love of learning.

She took great joy working as a contract-educator and looked forward to the adventure of packing up her little dog, Ben, and traveling across the United States and Canada working for different schools. She took great pride in teaching children how to discover the world through the scope of passion for art, music and reading.

She enjoyed many hobbies, including painting, writing, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, playing her piano and studying God’s word. She also invested time in humanitarian efforts. She lived simply, often opening her home to others or sharing what she had with those in need.

She was also a mother and, in her later years, grandmother to many other children besides her own.
She was preceded in death by sister, Winona Boyd Feiock of Brockton; three brothers, George Boyd III, Eugene Frederick Boyd, both of Brockton, and Daryl Boyd of Helena; step-daughter, Lynelle Salazar Holguin of Las Cruses, N.M.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Rosebluff and Michelle Melbourne-Baker, both of Helena, Genoveva Gonsalves and Kimberly Ramirez, both of Denver, Colo.; and step-daughter Cecelia Salazar of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Roberta Beveridge of Brockton and Patricia Menz of Lewistown; and two brothers, Lionel Boyd of Poplar and Terry Boyd Sr. of Brockton.

She held firm to her faith in Jesus and requested that her friends and family regard her Homecoming-in-Christ as a day of celebration instead of mourning her death. In honor of her request, her family and friends are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate her life beginning at 11 a.m. on June 30, at the Cultural Center in Brockton, followed by inurnment at Riverview Cemetery in Brockton.
