Georgia Gibson White passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She had just celebrated her 87th birthday.
Georgia was born June 22, 1931 in Clarkton, NC, the daughter of the late George Nathaniel Gibson and Lela Thompson Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Craven “R.C.” White, and two sons, Lyonel Craven White and James Lexford “Lex” White, as well as five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen White Fetner and husband, Ben, of Titusville, FL, Cheryl White and husband, Ralph J. Sigler, Jr., of Cary, NC, and Aimee Anne Perry and husband, Bobby, of Hampstead, and daughter-in-law, Kathy B. White of Rockingham, NC. Georgia was also a grandmother to six grandchildren, Kristi Fetner, Jamie Sigler O’Grady and husband, Tim, Ralph J. Sigler, III and wife, Jenny, Dustin E. Sigler and partner, Jason Daroucher, Allye Taylor and husband, Austin, and Harley Perry; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sigler, Ralph J. Sigler, IV, Finn Jameson O’Grady, and Gabe Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgia was a member of Blake’s Chapel Advent Christian Church for many years. Her church families were very dear to Georgia throughout her life. She had a great enthusiasm for life and loved her Lord.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Blake’s Chapel in Hampstead with the Reverend Steve Spearing officiating.
Prior to the service, the family will receive friends starting at 10:00am. A graveside committal service will follow at 2:00pm Wednesday at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bladenboro, NC.
