Adams, Amos H., was born in the town of Stafford, N. Y., September 28, 1822, a son of Horace and Betsey (Eastman) Adams. His father came to Genesee county in 1812, where he died March 23, 1855. Mr. Adams began his education in the old log school house. In 1849 be married Louisa, (born 20 August 1827 in New York died 21 February 1901 in Batavia) daughter of Joseph and Amanda Hoyt. Mr. Adams is a practical farmer, devoting his attention intelligently to the development and improvement of agricultural methods, and is numbered among the successful men of his town.

Aug 23, 1907 Amos H Adams dies at his Batavia home. Batavia. Aug 22 (special) Amos H. Adams died at his home on Ellicott Street this morning. He was 85 years old. Mr Adams was born in Stafford and had spent the greater part of his life in Genesee county, having lived in Batavia for the last 40 years. He is survived by three brothers, Horace and George Adams of Niles, Mich., and John Quincy Adams of Wyoming, and by two sisters, Mrs. A.E. Radican of Niles Mich., and Mrs. C.L. Blair of Batavia.
