Nina was born May 27, 1944, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of William and Amanda (Rountree) Dunnam. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom but worked 16 years at Libby Welding Company and later at the National Archives Records Association. Nina enjoyed visiting Branson and playing Yahtzee with family and friends. She most enjoyed quality time spent with her sisters, brothers, children and grandchildren. Nina would never be found sitting without one or two of her precious dogs in her lap – her animals were always very special to her.
Nina is survived by two sons: Steven Allen (Shelly) of Independence, and Tim Allen (Loretta) of Odessa, MO; two daughters: Kristi Wilane of Independence, and Stacy DeVera (Stephen) of Independence; four sisters: Norma Wood of Tulsa, OK, Beatrice Palet of Fort Scott, KS, Margaret (Gilbert) of Kearney, and Betty Warren (Joe) of Independence; five brothers: Billy Dunnam, Bobby Dunnam, and Wesley Dunnam, all of Independence, Russel Dunnam (Carol) of Sugar Creek, MO, and Earl Dunnam (Sherry) of Liberty, MO; nine grandchildren: Cambrae, Jeremy, Cody, Samantha, Dylan, Sarah, Timberley, Corey, and Matthew; four great-grandsons: Hayden, Brady, Cooper, and Jace; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roderick Allen, Jr., her parents, and brother, Thomas Dunnam.
