A. L. "Buddy" Averett -PERRY - A. L. "Buddy" Averett, 67, died Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at Houston Medical Center. Graveside Services will be 11A.M. Friday, December 12, 2003 at Perry Memorial Gardens with Elder Gordon Buchanan officiating. The Family suggests memorials to the donor's favorite charity. -"Buddy" Averett, born in Franklin GA, was the son of the late Hansel and Anne(Wiggins) Averett and had resided here for 30 years. He was a US Navy veteran and a Baptist Minister. -Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Hardage Averett; children, Shirley D. Ivey (Joe) of Yuma AZ, Linda Goodman (Alan) of Atlanta, Kenny Rodgers (Sue) of Byron, Jeff Averett of Atlanta, and Sheila A. Jones (Steve) of Oglethorpe; brothers, Hansel Averett of Warner Robins, Warren Lester Averett and Robert "Bobby" Averett, both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Eric Ivey, Rene Ivey and Jared Goodman; and one great-grandson, Justin Ivey. -Please express your condolences online at watsonhunt.com.
