Cheryl Bates Reynolds, 67, of 241 Chestnut Ridge Road, Gaffney, S.C. passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg, S.C. she was the wife of Jerry “Lee” Reynolds and daughter of the late Marcus Erwin Bates and Myrtle Ruth Marr Bates.
Mrs. Reynolds was a graduate of Dorman High School and retired from Wade Hampton Self Storage and American Storage. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling and was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Jay Parker and wife, Stacy, of Roebuck, S.C.; a daughter, Christina, of Spartanburg; three brothers, Keith Bates, Jeff Bates, both of Cayce, S.C., and Phillip Bates of Texas; five grandchildren, McKenzie, Hunter, Hailey, Riley and Cameron; one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jay Parker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Safe Homes Rape Crisis Coalition, 236 Union Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
