Gary L. Conley, 71, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 6:40 AM Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, June 29,2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Richard Reed will officiate.

Burial with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Grand View Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Gary was born October 17, 1946, in Hannibal, MO to Victor Lee and Mary Irene Roland Conley.

He was married to Gloria Gibson on September 2, 1967 in Hannibal, MO. She preceded him in death June 28, 2003.

Survivors include 3 children , Bradley Conley (Carol) of Parkville, MO, Jeana Green (Butch) of Hannibal, MO, and Tammy Whittaker (Archie) of Hannibal, MO and Christy Rice , who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Carolyn Reed (Richard) of New London, MO, Marilyn Toolate (Russell) of Hannibal, MO, 7 grandchildren, Meagan Smith, Andrew Green, Shelby Conley, Shelton Conley, Bethany Conley, Lyndsey Conley, Samantha Whittaker, and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, 1 brother, Richard Lee Conley and 1 son, Craig Andrew Conley.

Gary was a United States Navy Veteran. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.

Professionally Gary worked as a medical transport driver. He also previously worked as a security guard at the Gardner Denver Plant and with the Hannibal Street Department.

Gary was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and was an umpire and softball coach and player for many years.

Gary was a member of the Mark Twain Emergency Squad.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Shelton Conley, Andrew Green, Ed Gibbons, George Toolate, Tony Rickard, and Raymond Reed.

Honorary pallbearers will be Archie Whittaker II, Butch Green, Jr., Richard Reed, Jr., Richard Reed, Sr., Larry Brinkley, and Graylon Franklin.
