A loving wife, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend to many was Sandra Jean Armstrong, we would like to take this time to remember our Mother.

Sandra was born to the late Raymond Smith Sr. and Betty Washington Smith on January 1st 1975.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Sandra was the youngest of 11 children. Our beloved mother was one of the kindest, most loving person you would ever meet. Her childhood was filled with joy. She became a mother early on in life and had to work to support her family. Sandra was very strong and smart woman she later on earned her GED and then became a certified nursing assistant. She worked that profession in many hospitals and nursing homes. She loved Nazareth nursing home. She loved taking care of people; that was her passion. She completed at least 16 years of work in the city of Louisville before her health began to fail. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer, but that didn't stop her. She kept a smile and her faith in God remained strong.

At the age of 43 Sandra Armstrong found her peace. She was taken from us on Sunday June 10th 2018.

Left to cherish loving memories are her husband Yakie Armstrong, 5 Loving children: Pamela Armstrong, (Ronnie Crittenden), Precious Armstrong, Montez Armstrong, (Michelle Armstrong), Alexis Armstrong, Angel Armstrong; 13 Grandchildren; 3 Sisters and 4 Brothers.

Sandra will be sadly missed by all her family friends. Please Join us in our Praise to God for giving us peace in the midst of sorrow. Spring Valley Funeral Home is Honored to be of Service to the Armstrong Family.
