Orville B. Darbro, 73, of 520 Colorado Ave., died Sunday at his home. He was a native of Eagle Station and a retired trainman for the old Louisville and Nashville Railroad Co., an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Valley Masonic Lodge 511 and Iroquois Post 229 of American Legion. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Simms; a son, Brent L Darbro; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Tate of Carrollton; and a grandchild. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third St, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
