Nadine was born December 26, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Betty (Beranek) Gorman. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School in 1945 and was united in marriage to Robert Wilson on July 29, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. Nadine was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nevada.
Nadine owned Nadine’s Drapery and Decorating in Ames for many years until her retirement in 1999. She spent 14 years at Story County Senior Care where she wrote a column for the Nevada Journal about the happenings in the facility. Nadine loved animals and was instrumental in getting the cats that were at the nursing home for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and embroidery, coloring, writing poetry and gardening.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert and two sisters: Patricia Adamek and Rosemary Wood.
