Tunbridge – Funeral services for David Lester Blakeney, 70, who died Tuesday in Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover, N.H., will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea, by the Rev. Donald Richter of the United Church of Chelsea. Entombment will be in the Village Cemetery in Tunbridge until spring.

Mr. Blakeney was born Dec. 9, 1895, in Williamstown, son of Thomas and Ellen (Pratt) Blakeney. He attended Williamstown schools and was married July 4, 1929 to Madeline Fletcher of Tunbridge, who survives.

They moved to Tunbridge from Chelsea in 1963.

Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Dean Cipperly of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; and Mrs. George Mundell of Tunbridge; four sons, Charles T. Blakeney, Raymond E. Blakeney and David Blakeney of Tunbridge, and Pfc. John L. Blakeney, stationed at Hanau, Germany; three brothers, John R. Blakeney, Thomas W. Blakeney and Raymond A. Blakeney of East Barre; and a sister Mrs. Earl Littlefield of Marietta, Ga.

Tunbridge – Funeral services were held March 8 for David L. Blakeney, who died March 15 in Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover, N.H.

The Rev. Donald Richter of the United Church of Chelsea officiated the services held at Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea.

Bearers were Dean Cipperly and George Chamberlain of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; George Mundall and Edward G. Barnaby of Tunbridge.

Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cipperly and daughter, Beth; Barbara Alice, Blanche, William Marion Cipperly; Vera Griswold and Betty Kipp, all of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; Pfc. Entombment was in the Tunbridge Village Cemetery.
