François Albert, born circa 1813, was one of the earliest settlers in Eagle Lake, Maine. His parents married on November 24, 1812, at Saint-Basile in The Madawaska Settlement; and his dad died unexpectedly three years later. His only sibling, Joseph Albert, was born in July of 1814 (as documented in the St-Basile registers), so it's presumed that François had been born in 1813.
Though François' burial record hasn't yet been verified, records show that he and his wife were enumerated in the 1880 U.S. Census (in Eagle Lake), but neither of them appear anywhere in the 1900 census. At this point, it's presumed that both died between 1880 and 1900; and without a doubt, both would have been buried in what was then simply referred to as the Catholic Cemetery (St. Mary's).
