CHEROKEE — Janie Bernice “Patsy” Logan Brown, born Jan. 11, 1938, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2018. Her family will receive friends today, June 24, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. Her funeral service will be Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jackie Thompson and Chuck Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Tharptown Cemetery in Franklin County.
Patsy was a lifelong resident of Cherokee. She was a member of Cherokee Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She began work at State National Bank in Tuscumbia until she became a mother, and then stayed home to raise the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Belle Logan.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jimmie Brown; daughters, Tammy Brown Singleton and Becky Woodis and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Jessica Murphy and husband, Drew and Jennifer Landers and husband, Cutter; and a great-grandchild, Logan Murphy.
Pallbearers will be Mark Webb, John Webb, Thomas Woodis, Drew Murphy, Cutter Landers, and Wendall Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Logan, Wallace Vandiver Jr., Bubba LeFan, Trey LeFan, Tyler LeFan, and Jo Franks.
The family expresses special thanks to Brittany Kelly, Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, and Dr. Andre Taylor.
