"Sandra Ann Garner Wise went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Tyler Rose, on June 22, 2018 in Trinity, Texas after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sandra was born in Brady, TX on January 18, 1947 to Gladys Delores Webb Garner and James Stephen Garner. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother and daddy, a brother Bill Garner, of Coleman TX, a brother Jimmy Garner of Luling TX, a brother Garland Garner of Coleman, TX, brother Darrell Garner of Orlando, Fl, and her beloved first grandchild, Tyler Chase Rose of Huntsville TX.

"She grew up and attended school in Coleman, TX. During her high school years, she was a twirler for the Coleman Bluecat Band, during her freshman, sophomore and junior years. As a senior, she was head cheerleader and was elected by her peers as Miss Coleman High School. After graduation, Sandra attended Business College in Abilene, TX. Upon completion, she went back to Coleman where she worked for an insurance agency. This is when she met Jim “Polly” Wise of Brownwood, TX. After a short courtship they were married on July 1, 1966 in Fort Worth, TX.

"Sandra held different jobs while married. She worked for doctors at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX and for a doctor in Floresville TX. Most of the rest of her married years she worked in the school as a teacher’s aide and secretary. The last 15 years she served as the principal’s secretary at Lansberry Elementary in Trinity, TX, and retired in the summer of 2003. Through all of this, she moved many times being a coach’s wife. It takes a very special women to be, and stay, married to a coach, and that she definitely was.

"Sandra loved to fish, go to garage sales, read, work crossword puzzles, and shop, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids. Sandra accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and she stayed true and faithful to that decision for the remainder of her life. She was an avid reader of the Bible, and until cancer took its toll, she read it almost everyday of her life.

"She is survived by her husband of 52 years, her son, Chris Pollock Wise of Trinity, TX, daughter Tanya Darlene Rose and husband Tommy Rose of Groveton, TX, grandsons Joshua Robert Wise of Trinity, TX, Trendon Chance Rose of Groveton, Trey Chandler Rose of Groveton, sister Avell Tedder of Farmers Branch, brother Larry Dale Garner of Luling, numerous nieces, and nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends

"Sandra was a generous giver to many many charities and in her memory, a donation to any charity of your choice or to the First Baptist Church in Groveton TX, would be appreciated.
