Mr. Alfred E Kennard, 78, died in a local hospital Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Kennard have been spending the Winters in Florida for the past 24 years, and they have many friends here. Mr. Kennard was a member of the Society of Friends. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Julia D Kennard, and two daughters, Mrs. Warren Pickett of Washington, Pa., and Mrs. Ralph Atkinson of Dayton, Ohio, and three sons, Mr. Alfred E. Kennard of Cambridge, Ohio, Mr. William Kennard of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Mr. S. Frances Kennard of Barnesville, Ohio, and two sisters, Miss Mary E Kennard and Miss Sarah J. Kennard, both of Philadelphia, Pa.

The body will lie in state at the Carey Hand Funeral Home where friends may call. It will be sent to Barnesville, Ohio, accompanied by the family, where the services and interment will be held.
