Edward John Newman, 75, of Greeley, Passed away on May 28, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to James and Margret Mary (Ferneau) Newman on September 23, 1942 in Brooklyn, IA.
Edward loved NASCAR, football at all levels and the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his semi-truck over the road. He loved taking his dog, Pokey, on the road with him. His family will remember his ornery personality. During his travels, he was known to stop at nearly every Walmart, going parking lot to parking lot (even if they were short distances in between).
Edward is survived by his wife, Katherine; children, Michelle “Mickey” (Randy) Wood , Kimberly Newman (Henry Hinkle), Larissa DeGraffenreid (Garland Dowda), Sharyn DeGraffenreid, and Zachary DeGraffenreid (Berenice Garcia-Flores); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, James Newman (who he talked with almost daily) and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Stephanie
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Generations Church, 3600 W 22nd Street., Greeley, CO on June 9th at 10:00 am.
