Mrs. Gladys A. Pierce, 87, of 75 Harbor Rd., East Dennis, a founder and active member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans and one-time dietician for many years in the New York City school system, died Oct. 21 in Hyannis. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and spent many summers on the Cape before retiring and coming as a permanent resident 15 years ago. In Brooklyn she had been active in that city's Trinity Church and was a choir singer there. She was a member of the Dennis Chapter, AARP. Surviving is a godchild, Mrs. Lee Frankl of East Dennis. Burial was at Quivet Neck Cemetery in that village.
