Bonnie Jean Lawrence
DECEMBER 28, 1932 – JUNE 11, 2018

Bonnie Jean Lawrence returned to her Heavenly Father on June 11, 2018, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
Bonnie was born on December 28, 1932 to Gladys Fletcher and raised by Gladys and stepfather James Fletcher in their country home in rural Hanford, California. She was the eldest of eight children; Bonnie attended Hanford area schools, where she proudly excelled in mathematics. Bonnie knew her math!

Bonnie married the love of her life, John Lawrence, on February 13, 1948. Together they raised their four children at their Grangeville Boulevard home. She was a homemaker, a stay-at-home mom and an avid bowler. She and John were members of various bowling teams and enjoyed hours of bowling at KC Bowl. This pastime continued on for years, even trying her hand at Wii bowling, and winning most games at her most current retirement complex.

She was spirited and never shy to speak her mind. Bonnie loved her family and stood behind each one, no matter the circumstance. She loved and was loved.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, her brothers James (Jim) Fletcher, Richard (Dick) Fletcher, Fred Fletcher and sisters Nancy McClendon, Diane Riley and Betty Weeks.

She is survived by her sister Bernice Davis of Sweet, Oregon and her children John Lawrence Jr. (Charles), Rick Lawrence, Ronald Lawrence (Corrine) and Carolyn Lawrence, all of Hanford, California. Bonnie also leaves behind to cherish her memory 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is comforted to know that Nana Lawrence is with her beloved John again and thankful for the kindness shown by so many in the last few months. A special thanks to Dr. Wick, Dr. Bezwada, Christine, Anna Rodriguez, Riley “Teddy Bear” Berrett, all respiratory therapists and 3rd floor nursing staff at Hanford Adventist Medical Center.

A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1001 N Douty St, Hanford, with burial following at Grangeville Cemetery; 10428 14th Ave, Armona.
