He is survived by his wife Lupe (Olivas), son , brothers, sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was born in Colorado and moved to California in the 1940's. He went on to serve his country in the Army stationed in Korea.
Joe married Lupe in 1955 and made their home in Lincoln, California. Lupe and Joe raised their son, Joey, as well as owning and operating a successful Mexican food restaurant named Lupita's. Their home was always open to friends and strangers alike where memories were shared and made.
