Bobby Jack Henry, 77, of Johnson City passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Paul and Lucy Viola Jennings Henry. Mr. Henry was a retired truck driver for the City of Johnson City. He was a member of the Day of Deliverance Church. Mr. Henry enjoyed going to church, music, playing his guitars and most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Ann Henry in 2013; a sister, Norma Poore and two brothers, Orville and Gene Henry.



Survivors include a daughter, Janice Honeycutt and husband, Mike of Johnson City; two sons, Timmy Henry and wife, Mona Lisa of Johnson City and Larry Henry of Johnson City;. two sisters, Kate Rice of Johnson City and Pauline Littleton of Jonesborough; five grandchildren, Michael Hylmon, Alisha Tucker, T.J. Henry, Nicholas Henry and Frankie Donoho; four great-grandchildren, Elexus Hylmon, Caleb Tucker, Chloe Donoho and Jake Henry; a special friend, Hannah “that girl” Poore; also several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services for Mr. Henry will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Dewey Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends.
