CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Marvin L. Burton Sr., 70, of Chaffee died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born March 17, 1940, at Bayliss, Ark., son of Joseph Pleasant Hampton Burton and Maggie Ann Cochran Dodd Burton.

Marvin was owner and operator of Burton Pest Control in Morley, Mo., and later worked for Right-Way Pest Control in Morley. Marvin loved camping, hunting and fishing with his son and grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Marvin L. (Lori) Burton Jr. of Chaffee; two daughters, Marshia (Bill) Eaton of Arnold, Mo., Sherry (Richard) Waclawski of Oceanside, Calif.; a brother, Gene Dodd of Morley; a sister, Mamie Cowger of Sikeston, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Eaton, Derreck, Cole and Hannah Waclawski, Austin, Abby and Mason Burton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating.
