Mm. S. F. (Abbie) Red, Sr.
Mrs. S. F. (Abbie) Red, Sr., 86, died Sunday morning in a Laurel hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Red was a member of the Union United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the WSCS in Union, Miss.
Services will be held Monday at 2:00 at the Union Methodist Church with Rev. N. A. Dickson officiating assisted by Rev. Huffman. Pallbearers will be Ben R. Lewis Jr., Silas Nicholson Red, Stuart Red, Robert Red, Richard Sampey and Jo Blount.
Mrs. Red was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. S. F. Red. Sr.; two sons, Norman Red of Union, and Roscoe R. Red of Laurel.
Survivors include three sons, Niles Red of Forest, Miss.; S. F. Red Jr. of Laurel, Miss.; and Fletcher Red of Pascagoula, Miss.; two daughters. Mrs. Ben R. Lewis of Laurel, Miss., and Mrs. John Dibbs of Biloxi, Miss.; five grandsons, ten granddaughters, and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cora McMahen of Union; one brother, Roscoe Nicholson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
