Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Oak Park, and was a 1948 graduate of Swainsboro High School. She was a woman who loved the Lord and showed it every day of her life. She was a member of Pendleton Springs Baptist Church, where she served in many areas throughout the years, such as Clerk and Sunday school teacher. Affectionately known to her family as "Nenny", she was the epitome of a matriarch, devoting her life to both leadership and service to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Harold Williamson; parents, G.L. "Red" and Rubie Dell Steptoe; sister, Louise Gaudry; brother, Bobby Steptoe; and son-in-law, Art Bell.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by one son, Tommy Williamson and wife Debbie; two daughters, Susan Bell and Jeane Martin, all of Oak Park; one brother, Billy Steptoe and wife Brenda of Dublin; six grandchildren, Shannon Martin and wife Amanda, Patti Winge and husband David, Paul Bell and wife Michell, Jeremy Williamson and wife Meagan, Jamie Williamson and wife Suzannah, and Julie Bell Bennett and husband Cade; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. in the Pendleton Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Walter Jarrell and Reverend Trent Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Solomon Williamson Cemetery near Oak Park. The family will receive friends at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
