Note: The will of Richard Jackson gave to "my step-daughter Mary Waterman who has lived with me almost fifty years and since the death of her Mother has been my constant House Keeper," one full share of my real and personal estate "with her Brothers and Sisters requiring of her to relinquish her claim in a House Lot the gift of her Mother"; the estate then to be divided into eight shares "amongst my beloved children viz., Nathaniel W. Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Richard Jackson, William Jackson, George Jackson, Susan Aborn, Phebe Arnold, and Mary Waterman." 1
