Paul "Pastor Paul" Arthur Raymond, 87, went to Heaven on June 13, 2018 after a short illness.

Services will be held June 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside church, 621 Twin View Blvd., Redding. Rev. Darrell Farley will officiate.

Paul was born December 19, 1930 in Ithaca, NY. He joined the Navy in San Diego, CA. during the Korean war. After his service in the Navy, he attended Southern California College in Costa Mesa, CA.

He was an elementary school teacher for 23 years, retiring from Buckeye elem. In Redding. After retirement, he and his wife Joy became fulltime ministers. They pastored several churches in Northern California. Paul also was a Gideon and a law enforcement Chaplain.

Paul is survived by his daughter Carol Thelander, her husband Rick and their children Jennifer and Christopher; brother Robert and James Raymond and sister Sara Brown.

Memorial contributions can be made to Gideon's International local camp in Redding.
Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
