Graveside services for Joseph (Joe) Van Hartman, age 62, of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., June 23, 2018 at the Lindale City Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Speaking at the service will be John Payne, Nathan Reed and Matthew Reed. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home, Lindale, Texas. He was born on November 22, 1955, to Foy Van Hartman and Helen Ivins Hartman Betts, in Burneyville, Oklahoma. Joe died at his home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Joe graduated from Nuremberg High School in Katterbach, Germany while serving in the Army. He married his high school sweetheart Charlene McClenny on June 24, 1972 in Lindale, Texas. Joe was retired from Carrier Air Conditioning, Tyler, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlene Hartman, daughter Angi Hartman, The Colony, Texas and son and daughter-in-law Joey and Agustina Hartman, Lindale, Texas and 4 grandchildren, the absolute loves of his life, Cassandra, Emily, Joseph and Alyson Hartman, Lindale, Texas. He is survived by sisters, Moncella Reed (Gary), Marshfield, Texas; Phyllis Sterne (Cecil), Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Alicia Avery (David), Willis, Texas; and Starla Jones (Johnny), Benton, Arkansas and brothers, Foy Hartman (Lori), Sheridan, Wyoming; Isaac Hartman (Diana Sue), Swansboro, North Carolina; and David Hartman (Angela), Lindale, Texas. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Coralee McClenny as well as too many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws and out-laws to mention. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Winston Betts, and brother Richard Hartman
