She was born May 22, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1961 with a degree in Home Economics.
In 1972, Sandy became a real estate agent and in 1975, she became a licensed broker. She owned and operated her own agency in Delaware, Sandy Madison Real Estate. She was a member of the Delaware County Board of Realtors and served as their first woman president in 1983. In 2012, she received the Realtor Emeritus award.
Sandy enjoyed cooking, reading, working crossword puzzles and thrift store shopping.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years, Edward Madison Sr.; sons, Edward (Kellie) Madison Jr. of West Palm Beach, Florida and Andrew Madison of Delaware; sisters, Sharon (Darryl) Evans of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Susann (Rod) Clark of Birmingham, Alabama and Shelly (John) Peed of Alexandria, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Carol Luxich and more recently by her brother Lionel Luxich.
