PINE RIDGE - Josephine Afraid of Bear, 73, Pine Ridge, died Friday, April 3, 2009 in Rapid City.
Survivors include three sons, John Afraid of Bear of Oglala, Irving Afraid of Bear of Ft. Smith, MT, Marvin Afraid of Bear of Pine Ridge. And three daughters Patricia Afraid of Bear and Kathy Afraid of Bear both of Oglala, Joan Afraid of Bear of Syracuse, NY, one brother, James Yellow Horse of Oglala, and three sisters Darlene Kills Enemy of Slim Butte, Phyllis One Feather of Oglala, Geraldine Yellow Horse of Pine Ridge.
A two night wake was held on Tuesday, April 7. with Brother Rene Catholic Hall, Oglala officiating.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 pm, at Brother Rene Catholic Hall Oglala.
Intermentwill be at Our Lady of Lourds Catholic Cemetery, Slim Butte, SD
