He was born on Aug. 13, 1942 in Florence, AL to parents Samuel "Sandy" Byrnes Sanders and Eveline Killen Sanders Craig.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, three sons, daughter grandchildren, all of whom he adored, brother, beloved uncle and aunt, daughter-in-law, family friend; and several cousins.
Sam was cremated and his remains will be interred at Richardson Chapel in Green Hill, AL.
