CINDY (GILLEY) MILLER
January 23, 1957 - June 19, 2018

One very courageous woman, Cindy Miller, age 61 of Osgood, peacefully passed in the early morning hours of June 19, 2018, surrounded by those she loved most. She was born on January 23, 1957, in Champagne, Illinois and shortly after her family moved to Versailles. The remainder of her life was lived in the local area. She was a graduate of South Ripley Class of 1975.

After she moved to Versailles and over the course of her high school days, she met many friends whom she adored and cherished. Her most faithful and loving friend was to become her husband and on March 31, 1979, she married Jay Miller. The two of them spent the last 39 years together. Cindy worked at the US Shoe factory and retired from Thomas and Skinner.

Cindy enjoyed gardening and her flowers. When her health allowed, she bowled in league play at Pollards. Winnie the Pooh was a favorite collector's item. About ten years ago, her heart was forever captured with the birth of her loving granddaughter, Sara and next the addition of her grandson, Zachary. Her greatest joys would be spending every moment she could with them, whether just sitting on the front porch, getting her nails painted or running to follow them in an event. Cindy was in her happy place.

If you had the opportunity to know Cindy it was a blessing as she was a lady you never heard complain, even though she had a kidney transplant in 1996 and was on dialysis for the last 18 years. Cindy was kind hearted and always wanted to make sure you were taken care of.

Cindy will be sadly missed by husband Jay; son Adam; daughter Bridget (Matthew) Swinney; grandkids Sara and Zachary, all of Osgood; father Frank Gilley of Versailles; brothers Kevin (Shelly) Gilley of Versailles and David Gilley of Versailles; sister Missy (Jeff) Wright of Lexington, KY.

She was preceded in death by son John Edmond, mother Linda and brothers Dwayne and Tim.

Services provided by Neal Funeral Home.
