James Dale Raines, 55, of Connersville, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Caroleton Manor of Connersville. He was born on October 20, 1962, in Connersville, and is the son of the late James L. Raines and Karen Purcell Raines.
He had worked as a brick mason and mechanic with Rick Thomas Masonry. He enjoyed demolition derbies and canoeing down the river.
He is survived by a daughter, Erin (Allen) Morris, of Decherd, TN; a son, James Raines, of Manchester, TN; a brother, Bruce (Sommer) Raines, of Connersville, a sister, Natalie Hamilton, of Connersville; four grandchildren, Corbin Morris, Allie Raines, Chance Raines, and Breanna Sorrell, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services for James will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville, with Pastor Jeremiah Burden, of Western Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday.
