Reba Whittaker Jackson was born on February 10, 1941 to Joe and Nenice Whittaker. Reba accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Timpson Colored School and after graduation she married Sample Roland, Jr. To this union two boys were born, Reginald W. Roland and Randal G. Roland.
Years later she met and married Charlie Jackson, Jr. and to this union a daughter, Carlotta Jackson Guidry was born.
She later moved to Houston, Texas where she attended nursing school for a time and worked as a home health caregiver until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by; her parents, Joe and Nenice Whittaker; three sisters, Gloria J. Ingram, Rubye Dedeaux and Delores Roland; one brother, Tommy Whittaker and one nephew, Barrett Roland.
She leaves to cherish her memories; three children, Reginald W. Roland (Martha), Randal G. Roland (Sonja) and Carlotta Jackson Guidry (Charles); one special daughter, Zitorian Roland; one brother, Joe D. Whittaker; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three nieces, Shari Cherry, Dawn K. Doyle and Desiree Dedeaux; three nephews, Josef Whittaker, Kevin Whittaker and Tracey Whittaker.
