Viola Bentley
Mrs. Viola L. Bentley, 75, of Plainville Road, Memphis, died yesterday at State University Hospital.
She was born in Cato and had resided in Solvay and Jacks Reef.
Mrs. Bentley was a member of the Jordan United Methodist Church, the Plainville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Silver Whistle Senior Citizens Club.
She was also a member of the Fralick Chapter 550, Order of Eastern Star, and the Seneca River Court 120, Order of the Amaranth.
Mrs. Bentley was a past royal matron of the former Leola Court in Solvay, and in 1952 was Grand Marshal in the West, Grand Court of New York, Order of the Amaranth.
Surviving are her husband, Claude H Bentley; a daughter, Mrs. Barton Somes of Memphis; a brother, Clayton L. Gibbs of Memphis; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jordan United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the B. L. Bush and Sons Funeral Home, Jordan.
