Louis William Harris was born to Henry and Carrie Roy Harris. He met his wife of 58 years, Joy Lee Johnson-Harris in September, 1955 and they were married December 23, 1955. Born to them were nine children. Louis worked most of his life as a maintenance worker and retired from Ouachita Independence Center in Richwood, La. He was a devoted husband and father, he always had a smile for everyone he met. He and Joy Lee had 44 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.
