Ben dearly loved the game of baseball.

He played in recreation and industrial leagues in Oak Ridge from the summer of 1948 until he was drafted into the US ARMY during the Korean Conflict in March of 1953. He was blessed to be able to coach all four grandchildren as well. Coaching his kids and grandkids was very special to him throughout his lifetime.
