Frances enjoyed taking care of children in her home for a number of years and was a member of Tops and the Lincolnville Women's Group. She always volunteered to help at any local event or community function. Her hobbies included knitting, braiding rugs and crocheting.
Surviving is her husband, Wayne G. Rankin of Lincolnville; her mother, Arline Locke of Bangor; a sister, Joanne Pelkey and her husband, Frank, of Oklahoma; a sister in-law, Nancy Griffin of Virginia; nephews and nieces, Mark Davenport and his wife, Jennifer, Amy Davenport, Eric Pelkey, Rachel Locke, Laura Fernald, Chrystel Hill, and all their children whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her brothers, David Locke and Barry Locke; and a sister, Sharon Betts.
