Danny "Fat Boy" Simmons, 66, of Melber passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Danny was a 1969 graduate of Lone Oak High School and of Baptist faith. He was a member of F & AM Plain City Masonic Lodge #449, Paducah, Kentucky and a member of the International Operators Union Local 181. Danny was a fun loving person that could always run into someone that knew him and talk. He loved to build large bar-b-que grills, loved to cook and share with friends and family. His family and grandchildren were special to him and he loved the time he spent with them. Honor Danny, by wearing casual clothes to the service.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Leesa Nelson Simmons; two sons, Chevy Lee Simmons and wife, Christi and Derek Simmons and girlfriend, Kelly, both of Paducah; one brother, Jimmy Simmons of Melber; four grandchildren, Tyler Simmons, Cam Simmons, Chassis Simmons and Trenton Bradley.

Preceding in death were his parents, Sherrell Wilton Simmons & Cavama Vaughn Simmons.

Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Kansas Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Masonic rites to be conducted at 7:00 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis. TN 38105.
