Dan died Saturday May 26, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his two daughters, Jen and Chrissy, former wife, Debby, as well as his many friends.
Dan was a lifelong Portland resident and loved to share stories about the area. He was also a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Navy as a PR2. After returning to Portland, he worked in maintenance for several companies becoming skilled in solving almost any maintenance issue. Dan retired in 2014 from Unified Grocers, leaving behind many good friends, but allowing him to pursue his interests. Some of his favorite hobbies included puzzles, listening to music, and going to the beach. He was especially fond of Depoe Bay and Lincoln City, where he could visit his brother and sister-in-law, David and Terry, as well as sit with a good margarita and watch the ocean.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth; brother, Michael. He leaves behind three other brothers, David, Steve and Richard.
A private service will be held. Please contact the family for time and location. Dan will be buried in the Willamette National Cemetery near his brother.
