Wanda Rowe Crawford, 100, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018. She was born May 21, 1918, in New Kensington to the late Ralph and Cora Leslie Rowe, was a 1936 graduate of Ken-Hi, and was secretary to the superintendent of the Burrell School District for 25 years, retiring in 1982. Mrs. Crawford was a member of Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lower Burrell and the Eastern Star in Springdale, and served twice as president of the Burrellton Women's Club. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. Surviving are her daughters, Elayne J. (Garrett "Gary") Peck and Marsha A. Crawford, both of New Kensington; granddaughter, Jennifer A. Peck, of Oil City; and brother, Donald L. (Jean) Rowe, of Saxonburg. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard J. Crawford, in 1956; and three brothers, Francis Rowe, Edwin Rowe and Harry "Dutch" Rowe.

Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. Elaine Hower, will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
