In the early morning of June 19, 2018, Edna Laura Fisher died peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Simpson County, MS, on March 13, 1926 to James Luther and Laura Ann Teasley. She was preceded in death by husband Woodrow Fisher, her brothers, James and Archie Teasley, and sister, Ester Buffington Prisock.

She lived a very good life of 92 years filled with love of God, family, and friends and was an active member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church.

She graduated as Valedictorian of Braxton High School. At the age of 19, she went to work for Bell South/AT&T where she retired. Then she and her husband started "Fisher Fire Extinguishers" which is still a successful business.

She loved sports, fishing, traveling, and learning. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces and nephews who were her family. Anyone who knew her, their lives have been made so much sweeter and richer because of the influence and care she showed to all. She was a lady of dignity, character, and integrity. She will be missed, but she's "gone home" to be with the rest of her family.

Visitation will be 11am until the 12noon funeral service Friday, June 22, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
