"Leslie Fisher Tanner, Jr. age 93 of Russellville Passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 5, 1925 to the late Leslie Fisher Tanner, Sr. and Sophia Selma (Garaude) Tanner. Les was the Owner and Pharmacist of Medical Arts in New Orleans before retiring and moving to Russellville. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, member of the Christ Catholic Church, affiliated with Southern Episcopal Church and attended the United Pentecostal Church. Les was a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge #17 and numerous other Masonic groups. He is preceded in death by his first wife Marie Louise Vosbein and his second wife Betty Joan Tanner. Survived by:

Six sons; Leslie F. Tanner III, Michael Raymond Tanner, Wayne John Tanner, Edmund Vernon Tanner, Gregory Thomas Tanner and Lindley Stanford Tanner, one daughter Paulette Louise Foster and two sisters Margaret Louise Davis and Merryl Rose Piper.

Funeral services for Leslie Fisher Tanner will be conducted Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Scott Marshall officiating and burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until funeral time at 2:00 P.M. There will be a Masonic Service beginning at 2:00 P.M."
