Jerry Leon Casey, 72, of Oklahoma City, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2018. Jerry was born on March 6, 1946 in Charleston, Arkansas to Arthur C. and Mildred Underwood Casey. The family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1951 where Jerry attended public schools, graduating from Muskogee Central High School in 1964. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. Jerry worked for Kerr McGee and Champlin before owning his own service station prior to retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Saltzgiver Casey, his parents, and brother-in-law, Dwight Saylor. Jerry is survived by his son, Richard D. Casey and wife Alisha and their children Bella and Connor of Jones; his daughter, Debra L. Stevens and husband Robert and their children Erica and Rebekah of Oklahoma City; brother, Larry Casey and wife Kathryn of Pryor; sister, Rita Saylor of Muskogee; sister, Paula Casey and husband Gil Glover of Little Rock Arkansas; and sister, Marsha Jenkins and husband Tom of Broken Arrow. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends including long-time friend, Phyllis Bunch, who shared his love of race horses.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00pm in the chapel at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City with Reverend Ed Coy Light officiating.
